Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year! We would also like to say thank you for your support of our small
series of concerts by buying tickets or/and by making donations.
We run our Society on a voluntary basis with no administration cost so
your every dollar goes to concert expenses.
Are you looking for a Christmas gift for
your loved ones? Here is an offer valid until New Year. For each of the
three
remaining concerts, you can buy single tickets with a discount of
15/17%
($34 - adults snd $25 - senior/student). You can also buy all three
concerts
for $100 adult and $70 senior/student.
Please call us at 604.871.4450 or send us an email with your phone
number, and we will return your call as soon as possible.
The three remaining pianists are: Alexandre
Tharaud, a
French pianist known for his
brilliantly-conceived programs (Jan 30, 2015 at the Playhouse); the
brilliant Nelson Goerner, whom we have been trying
to bring to Vancouver for the last six years, will play a
phenomenal programme (March 13 at the Magee Theatre); and lastly
Nikolay
Khozyainov, the youngest finalist in the Chopin Competition in Warsaw
in
2010, where his interpretations and exceptional musicality were
hugely appreciated by audiences and critics alike (May 8 at the
Playhouse).
All concerts will be followed by a wine reception.
We are planning on presenting interesting
exhibitions alongside one of the upcoming concerns (in January or
March). We will be bringing
"The world knew. Jan Karski’s mission for humanity" exhibition that was
presented last year at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
