Rafal Blechacz's 20th Anniversary Gala

At 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, the
Vancouver Chopin Society will be officially celebrating its 20th
Anniversary at the Vancouver Playhouse with a gala performance by Rafal
Blechacz.
Following Blechacz’s recital, the
Vancouver Chopin Society will be having a fund-raising reception at the
Salons of the Vancouver Playhouse. Tickets
for the reception are $50
each, $25 of which will be tax-deductible. There are sre
still 10 spots left! Two talented young Vancouver pianists will be
performing for us during the reception on Steinway Spirio, the world's
finest high resolution piano. Come and celebrate our birthday with us,
and let us drink a toast to the next 20 years!

the Blechacz recital,you can
win a trip to Warsaw for the finals of
the first ever International Chopin Competition on period instruments,
to be held in September 2018.

by train) for the finals of Karol
Szymanowski Music Competition
which takes place in September
10-23.

The Vancouver Chopin Society is one of the few musical organizations in
the city to offer a
25% discount to seniors, students and B.C.R.M.T.A.
members for subscriptions and 20%
discount for single tickets. The
price for youth (grades 1 through 12) is again an incredible $15 per
ticket.

Russian White Nights-themed Vancouver
Opera Festival from April 28 to May 6, alongside mainstage

Eugene Onegin and The Overcoat—a musical tailoring, and events for the

On May 1, Vancouver Opera celebrates Jonathan Darlington’s fifteen-year
tenure as Music Director with a special evening of music, entitled

A Russian Songfest on May 2 features outstanding young opera singers

On May 6, Vancouver Opera, in collaboration with Early Music Vancouver
and the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, proudly presents an afternoon of
virtuosic baroque Russian opera arias-Russian

The five short instrumental and vocal concerts of the Russian Chamber
Music Series will take place at CBC Studio 700, celebrating Russian
composers, and Russian inspired artists Approximately 50 minutes in
length. Curated by Leslie Dala and featuring singers from the casts of
Eugene Onegin & The Overcoat - a musical tailoring,
instrumentalists from the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and invited guests
including the Bergmann Duo on piano. (April 28, 29, May 3, 4, 5 at 5pm,
