Subscribe to our 2017-2018 season and win a trip to Warsaw for the
Finals of the world's first ever Chopin Competition on historical
instruments, to be held in September 2018 in Warsaw.
The package includes a flight ticket for one person, two tickets for
the Finals, three days of accommodation and a tour to Zelazowa Wola,
Chopin’s birthplace.
The draw will be held at Rafal Blechacz’s 20th anniversary Gala
Performance on April 22, 2018.
Every subscriber gets two entries, and a single ticket holder for
Blechacz’s concert gets one entry. You can increase your chances of
winning by buying additional discounted tickets for his concert for
family or friends. For example by being a subscriber and buying
two extra tickets (a 20% discount), you receive 4 entries (with chances
of winning of 1 in 200).
Rafal Blechacz is currently touring in North America, his first tour
since taking one year off in 2016. We are so excited to hear that he
has emerged as an artist whose interpretation has deepened. His
latest Bach recording has been receiving glowing reviews.

Almost 900 tickets have gone for Seong-Jin
Cho's recital
Single tickets go on sale August 1, with the exceptionr of Seong-Jin Cho's concert
for which we began selling tickets on March 27.

Sergei Babayan concludes the 2016-17 season
All of us at the Vancouver Chopin Society can't wait to hear great pianist and
pedagogue, Sergei Babayan.

One of the hallmarks of success in the music world is recognition
by one's pears. Sergei Babayan’s has been recognized by his fellow
pianists and musicians as one of the great pianists of our time. Ever
since Babayan's outstanding protege Danill Trifonov
emerged as one of today's musical superstars, Babayan is now one of the
world’s most sought-after
piano teachers. He
is a member of the faculty at the famed Julliard School of Music, as
well as Artist in Residence at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Chopin and his Europe festival, August 12-30

festival, one of the best music festivals in the world, August 12-30
2017. The Artistic Director of the festival, Stanisław Leszczyński,
known for innovative and brilliant programming, put together
spectacular number of international artists and orchestras in original and
fascinating programmes. There will be 40 concerts including many on original
instruments! The stellar lineup of musicians include Martha Argerich, Nelson Freire, Mikhail Pletnev,
