We just announced our 20th anniversary season during which you will have the opportunity to hear not one, but two, gold medalists, as well as a laureate from the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. As part of our contribution towards celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday, we are giving you, our audience, a truly unique event, presented for the first time in North America. This will be an event that allows us to experience the folk music that sparked Chopin's creative genius. With this performance, we hope to help music lovers, teachers, and performers obtain an insight into the interpretation of Chopin's music. You will hear specific characteristics of music from the Polish countryside, music whose rhythm and essence were absorbed by young Chopin and integrated into his own creativity. This is a season you will not want to miss!

You can also pick up a copy of the brochure at our upcoming recital this Sunday, April 2nd, at 3:00 p.m., when Jean-Efflam Bavouzet will be performing works by Haydn, Beethoven, Ravel and Debussy.

Bavouzet is one of today's best pianists, and he will be performing works by composers close to his heart. He recently completed the monumental task of recording all the Beethoven sonatas, and Volume 3 of the recordings has been chosen RECORDING OF THE MONTH in December 2016 by the prestigious GRAMOPHONE magazine.
