All subscriptions tickets were sent at the end of June so if you renewed and have not received tickets yet, please let us know as soon as possible. Please remember that single tickets go on sale on August 1, 2018.

The Vancouver Chopin Society is one of the few musical organizations in the city to offer a 25% discount for subscriptions and 20% discount for single tickets to seniors, students and B.C.R.M.T.A. members. The price for youth (grades 1 through 12) is again an incredible $15 per ticket.

Chopin and His Europe Festival

There are many classical music summer festivals in Europe but the one I have always dreamt of attending is Chopin and His Europe Festival that takes place every August in Warsaw. The theme of this year's festival is From Chopin to Paderewski and finally I'm fortunate to be able to attend the second half of the Festival. In accordance with its title the repertoire played at the Festival includes works by Chopin himself, the music that inspired him, as well works by composers inspired by Chopin.
There are two concerts every day with the most distinguished international and Polish artists performing. For eight days I will be able to hear: Leif Ove Andsnes, Nelson Goerner, Vadym Kholodenko, Renaud Capuçon and Mikhail Pletnev, Garrick Ohlsson, Benjamin Grosvenor , Marc-André Hamelin, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Dang-Thai Son, Krzysztof Jablonski, and Dmitry Shishkin. Many more big name artists perform in the first half of the Festival.
The tickets are very cheap, $15-$33 CAN. Combined this with is the fact that you can rent an Airbnb apartment in Warsaw for $60-$70 CAN daily, so you are able to enjoy great music and incredible artists for a very affordable price.
