Gold medalist of the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Vadym Kholodenko is fast emerging as one of the most musically dynamic and technically gifted of the newer generation of performers.

Following his Cliburn win, Kholodenko was appointed the first ever “Artist in Partnership” with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. This artistic partnership involved, among other projects, performances and recordings of the complete Prokofiev Piano Concerti.

An active chamber musician as well as concerto soloist, Kholodenko has already performed under the baton of many of today’s major conductors, including Valery Gergiev, Leonard Slatkin, and Vladimir Spivakov, among others.

Already a prolific recording artist, Kholodenko’s recording of the Greig Piano Concerto and Saint-Saens’ Piano Concerto No. 2 was critically acclaimed and awarded “Editor’s Choice” by Gramophone magazine.

Kholodenko’s Vancouver debut performance will no doubt go down as one that we will all be talking about long after the event.
