We are excited that the recital by Eric Lu, gold medalist of the 19th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, is coming up soon! !

We are equally excited to let you know that The Vancouver Chopin Society is launching an important new campaign, one that will have an impact on the future of our society as a promotor of world class piano recitals in Vancouver, namely, the purchase of our own Steinway piano for the use of our artists.

After more than a quarter century of presenting great performances by world class pianists, we feel that it is time for us to have our own Steinway & Sons grand piano – the overwhelming choice of the world’s greatest pianists – for our concerts.

Having our own piano would allow us to have complete responsibility for the care and maintenance of the piano, to ensure that every artist who performs in Vancouver would have the highest quality instrument under his or her disposal, for you, members of the audience, to enjoy.

This is an extremely important step forward we are taking, one that would positively impact every performance we present for years to come.

To that end, the previously announced free post-concert signing session has been upgraded to a ticketed Meet & Greet Fundraiser. This special event offers an intimate opportunity to meet Eric Lu personally, take photos, and receive autographs — while directly supporting our campaign to acquire a Steinway D concert grand piano for Vancouver.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and your support in helping strengthen our musical future.

Admission to this catered private event following Eric’s recital will be $288 per person (NOT PER FAMILY). Each guest will receive a tax deductible receipt to the amount of $220.

The event is limited to a maximum of 180 guests. Please note that this does not include a ticket to the concert.
